Cyprian Keyes GC is looking to strengthen our golf course maintenance team with a self-motivated, detail-oriented team member looking to further their managerial and golf course maintenance knowledge and experience. Cyprian Keyes GC is a Mark Mungeam design that opened in 1997. Located just minutes from downtown Worcester in quiet Boylston, MA, CKGC is a full-service facility boasting an 18-hole championship course and a 9-hole executive course, with driving range, practice putting/chipping greens, and indoor fitting center.

Experience Desired: Previous golf course experience or turf/agronomic studies is preferred but not required. A candidate from a different field with some managerial experience and aspirations to join the turf industry would be encouraged to apply. A desire to advance in the turf industry and develop leadership and managerial skills is important.

Duties Description: The 2nd Assistant Superintendent / AIT is a year-round position that will play a key role in all aspects of golf course maintenance. This is designed to be a learning position, so a positive, forward-looking attitude is a must. The candidate will work closely with the Superintendent and 1st Assistant and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Daily course set up
• Training and delegation of daily tasks to team members
• Leading crew on in-house projects
• Pesticide and fertilizer applications and reporting
• Carrying out daily maintenance tasks
• Irrigation troubleshooting/repair/scheduling
• In-season rotation of weekend mornings with Supt & 1st Asst
• Off-season tree/brush removal
• Winter snow/ice cleanup

Special Skills: Must possess valid driver’s license. Must possess or have the ability to obtain Mass Pesticide Applicator’s license (CORE) within 90 days (we can provide study material).

Compensation / Benefits: Up to $50k annually, depending on knowledge and experience. Health and dental insurance options, life insurance, 401k, uniforms, continuing education, golf privileges, restaurant allowance (when open)

Education Level Required: Minimum Turf Certificate preferred but not required
