    Position Overview: 
    The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent is a year-round position. The Assistants duties include but are not limited to, overseeing the maintenance and operation of the golf course, including turf management, landscaping, irrigation systems, equipment, and staff. This role works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure the course remains in excellent condition for daily play, tournaments, and events. The Assistant Superintendent helps manage the day-to-day operations and is involved in planning, organizing, and supervising maintenance activities to ensure quality standards are met.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Turfgrass Management:
    o Assist in the maintenance of tees, greens, fairways, roughs, and other                      golf course areas.
    o Monitor and implement turfgrass management programs, including                         fertilization, pest control, aeration, and overseeding.
    o Assess and address turf health and soil conditions, applying                                        appropriate treatments when necessary.
    2. Irrigation System Maintenance:
    oHelp manage and maintain the golf course’s irrigation system,                                    ensuring proper water distribution.
    o Oversee irrigation scheduling and monitor system efficiency.
    o Troubleshoot and repair any issues with irrigation systems as needed.
    3. Team Supervision:
    o Supervise and lead maintenance staff, providing direction on daily                            tasks, safety procedures, and quality standards.
    o Assist with training, scheduling, and evaluating staff performance.
    o Ensure all work is completed efficiently, following safety protocols.
    4. Equipment Maintenance:
    o Assist in the operation and maintenance of golf course maintenance                        equipment.
    o Ensure equipment is in safe working condition and properly                                       maintained.
    5. Course Set-Up and Preparation:
    o Prepare the golf course for daily play, tournaments, and special events                      by ensuring course features are set up properly (e.g., pin placements,                      tee markers).
    6. Course Improvement Projects:
    o Assist in the planning and implementation of golf course renovation                          for improvement projects.
    7. Communication and Collaboration:
    o Communicate effectively with the Golf Course Superintendent, team                         members, and golf course management.
    o Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and                     high-quality guest experiences.

    Qualifications:

    Education:
    o  Turf Certificate or Associate's degree in turf management,                                           horticulture, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
    o   NH Pesticide License is required, or the ability to obtain one within                           90 days of hire.
    ● Experience:
    o   Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in golf course maintenance or                           landscape management, with some supervisory experience preferred.
    Skills and Abilities:
    o Knowledge of turfgrass science, irrigation systems, pest control, and                          golf course maintenance practices.
    o Ability to operate and maintain golf course equipment and tools.
    o Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
    o Ability to perform physical tasks including manual labor when                                   necessary.
    o Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

    Working Conditions:

    ● Outdoor work environment, be prepared for any type of weather                             conditions.
    ● Weekend and holiday work is required.
    ● Physically demanding, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required.

    Compensation:
    ● Competitive salary based on experience. Range $45,000 - $65,000

    Facility Description:  The Haven Country Club (Owned by Invited) was originally designed by William Mitchell in the early 1950’s and has most recently undergone numerous renovations under the guidance of Forse design. What was once a tight tree-lined course has now become considerably more open after years of tree removals incorporating stunning vistas, natural rock outcrops and large fescue areas.  All bunkers on course have also recently undergone renovation.

    The golf course utilizes a variety of equipment top brands and is suited to complete just about any golf course task. Irrigation system underground is primarily HDPE and PVC with above ground controlled by Toro Osmac and a Lynx system. Staff size fluctuates seasonally but averages 20 team members in season and 6 to 8 full-time yearly employees to complete off-season projects and winter maintenance. The maintenance shop is also suited very well to cater to the team and produce a championship caliber course.

    • $25.00 - $28.00/hour based on experience (1.5 OT after 40 hours)
