Facility Description: Turner Hill is an 18-hole member-owned club which opened in 2004 and designed by Hurzdan/Fry. Duties Description: The Assistant Superintendent role at Whitinsville Golf Club offers applicants a broad look at all aspects that go into Golf Course Management. Together the Superintendent and the Assistant take care of all major components that go into tournament quality conditions, from reel sharpening, fixing irrigation issues, and chemical applications. Without a strong team the conditions of the golf course will suffer. The Assistant Superintendent is the first form of communication from staff to the Superintendent. The ideal candidate must have team building personality and the ability to motivate staff to continue producing expected work quality, by using their own passion, drive and hard work as motivation.
A tee construction project is scheduled to begin in the early months of the season. This will be an in-house project the grounds department is excited to complete, and a great opportunity for the new Assistant to complete a big project in their early weeks of employment. More projects are on the agenda as we plan to complete our course renovation plan by year 2022
The Assistant Superintendent will work directly with the Superintendent to form daily, weekly, and monthly agronomic plans.
