    SUMMARY:

    MTE has a great opportunity to grow Jacobsen, Cushman, and Allied product sales to the Golf and Pro-Turf Channels. Meet and exceed sales goals set forth by management. Manage existing accounts and improve customer satisfaction. Conduct product demonstrations and attend trade shows. Successfully develop and grow long-term relationships with decision makers in an assigned territory.

    • RESPONSIBILITIES:

    o AR will meet and exceed annual unit and dollar sales goals by territory as determined

    o AR will increase brand market share through sales calls and providing product demonstrations with customers in the field.

    o AR will take the lead to organize on-site product training for customers.

    o Demonstrate strong product application knowledge and be able to communicate this knowledge to different levels of buyers and customers.

    o Develop a customer call plan that is customer-specific for visits to targeted accounts.

    o Will have responsibility for maintaining company owned assets, which may include vehicles, trailers, and demo products. Must be able to load, haul and drive a vehicle with an attached trailer carrying the equipment.

    o AR will submit weekly reports regarding customer visits, customer comments and sales and territory activities as required.

    o Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications

    • EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

    o Marketing or Agronomy related field required.

    o Strong product and product application knowledge.

    • EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    o 1 – 3 years experience selling turf, agricultural or construction equipment or working in related field.

    JOB TITLE:                 Director of Communications & Marketing

    REPORTS TO:           Executive Director/CEO, Mass Golf

    POSITION LOCATION:  Golf House in Norton, MA. Travel within the state (and region on occasion) is required.

    JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for the management, oversight, strategy, direction and delivery of Mass Golf’s communications and marketing operations and programs to help promote and support the mission and vision of the organization. The Director leads a dedicated staff and supporting committee to help develop, plan and execute the organization’s activities and services as we aim to advance golf in Massachusetts.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Manage, direct and lead all communications and marketing initiatives of Mass Golf and, including but not limited to:

    • Developing and executing a comprehensive communications and marketing plan for the association that includes daily scheduling of website updates, event coverage, e-mail distribution, social media postings and marketing.

                      o Inclusive of Mass Golf, The First Tee of Massachusetts, The
                         Links at Mass Golf and other local industry initiatives.
                      o Inclusive of additional relationship and project management
                         oversight with outside consultants/agencies.

    • Lead, develop and support Association’s Patron and Sponsorship initiatives to retain current partners and expand future relationships.
    • Responsible for all AP Style written communication for Mass Golf/affiliated events which may include previews, player/host clubstorylines, daily recaps, summaries and results. Coverage also includes posting to website, social media oversight and distribution to local/regional media.

                      o Inclusive of local, regional and national events.

    • Develop and highlight human interest story ideas, and execute on those ideas in order to showcase Mass Golf members, member clubs and affiliates.
    • Oversee and support the design and creation of promotional materials including e-mail blasts, signage, banners, logos/marks and collateral pieces in support of Mass Golf’s brand, values, mission and vision.
    • Manage and direct the MassGolfer magazine which includes overseeing all editorial content, managing the outside publishing group and print house and being responsible for distribution, etc.
    • Manage and direct special events and projects for the Association and Local/Regional Affiliates.

                   o Inclusive of the Champions Dinner, Hall of Fame Gala, Economic
                      Impact Studies and State Days and Local Expos.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Demonstrate exceptional communication (written, verbal and PR skills), fiscal management and managerial skills.
    • Possess a strong work ethic/organizational skills and manage a series of projects with multiple teams/groups.
    • Knowledge of, and commitment to the goals and philosophy of Mass Golf.
    • Charismatic, personable, and motivational in working with colleagues, volunteers and industry representatives.
    • Occasional overnight travel throughout the state/New England and to local, regional, national meetings and/or conferences.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or related field.
    • 4-6 years of related communications/marketing experience.
    • Valid driver’ s license and reliable transportation.
    • Knowledge of and passion for the sport of golf is preferred.

    RECOMMENDED SKILLS:

    • Microsoft Office Products
    • Experience with Content Management Systems and HTML/CSS
    • Experience with E-mail Marketing Software

    Position: Retail Golf Car & Specialty Vehicle Territory Sales Manager
    Location: Massachusetts, Greater Boston Area, Cape Cod and Islands, Rhode Island

    Job Summary:

    Seeking highly motivated, hardworking self-starter who can continually generate and close leads. The retail sales manager position is responsible for sales of golf cars and specialty/utility vehicles to non-golf channels, including but not limited to, municipalities, camp grounds, colleges, summer camps and any other facility or entity that requires the use of lightweight transportation vehicles. Will work closely with and report directly to Branch Operations Manager. Compensation will be based on experience.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Sell Golf Cars and Utility Vehicles to walk in customers and non-golf channels

    • Visit potential customers, analyze their needs for equipment and propose solutions while continually building relationships throughout the region.

    • Present sales and service proposals, including lease and purchase options, for golf cars and utility vehicles to customer decision makers and follow up as needed to close sales.

    • Demo products at customer sites.

    • Represent Five Star Golf Cars & Utility Vehicles at trade shows, bid openings, and conferences as needed.

    • Keep Ownership/Manager apprised of current sales status for all accounts within designated region. Maintain accurate market data and complete all reporting requirements within specified time period.

    • Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives on a quarterly and annual basis.

    • Coordinate customer delivery, service, and administrative needs with Branch Operations Manager as necessary to ensure superior customer service.

    Education:

    •Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

    Position Requirements:

    • Prior outside sales experience is preferred. However, we will train the right person.

    • Strong preference for sales experience in durable goods industry.

    • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills required.

    • Tenacity and persistence, and the ability to continually overcome obstacles, is paramount.

    • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    • Knowledge of golf industry a plus.

    • Applicant must live in the sales region, or be willing to relocate.

    • Valid driver’s license.
