Facility Description: Bald Peak Colony Club was founded in 1921 by Thomas Plant to provide a club where sporting families could enjoy golf, fishing, riding and other outside activities. The Club continues to do this successfully today. The golf course has 18 holes designed by Donald Ross. The clubhouse and grounds encompass over 1000 acres, with the golf course encompassing just about 100 of those acres, and offers members and guests golf, tennis, pickle ball, paddle tennis and water activities, as well as overnight rooms, dining and social events.

Responsibilities Description: We are looking for a motivated, team-oriented Mechanic/Assistant Equipment Manager to join our team. The purpose of this role is to support the Lead Mechanic/Equipment Manager in all aspects of equipment maintenance mainly including, but not limited to, the following….

• Work logs of all equipment activities: mowing heights, grinding, servicing, etc.
• Assists and performs training of all staff on equipment operation and care
• Operates all equipment from heavy machinery to string trimmers to automotive
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment inside and outside of the shop
• Ability to weld, as needed
• Attain a cordial working relationship with staff including other departments
• Perform snow removal through the winter months, as needed
• Assist in daily check of course for desired equipment expectations
• Attend local conferences and seminars as time permits

Special Skills:
• Must have knowledge of turf equipment and heavy machinery
• Grinding of reels and bed knives and proficient with welding
• Comprehend hydraulics, electrical systems, small engines
• Understands and promotes the relationship between equipment and high expectations
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other software that may be required
• Must have a valid drivers license

Compensation and Benefits: Base salary $30 to $38 per hour, depending on experience. Holiday bonus. Eligible for benefits after 60 days including health, dental, life, etc. Paid vacation time. 401K after one year of employment.

Education Requirements: Certifications in mechanical, electrical, grinding or related fields. Certified Turf Equipment Manager is a plus but not required.
