    Wedgewood Pines Country Club is a family owned private facility. We are looking to hire an Equipment Manager/Mechanic to maintain our mixed fleet of equipment. (Toro, John Deere, Kubota, CAT, Salsco, Club Car). Knowledge in preventative maintenance, reel grinding and cut adjustments, Gas/Diesel engine repair, small engine repair, hydraulic repair and maintenance is needed. This manager is responsible for keeping records of work completed and needed. Mechanic is responsible for ordering of needed repair parts and keeping records of these purchases. The equipment manager will work closely with the superintendent to decide on new equipment investments. Latest purchases past 5 years have included a new 4500D rough unit, small fleet of JD Gators, 2 hybrid JD triplexes, Multipro 1750 sprayer arriving soon.

    Educational Requirements:  Technical training, small engine classes, welding certificate, past experience with golf course equipment

    Experience Requirements:  A mechanic with past golf course mechanical experience is desired. Not opposed to hiring someone new to the field if they have the desire to learn and excel in the field.

    Duties Description: 40 hours/week. This position is a working leader of a crew of skilled and semi-skilled workers, laborers and seasonal staff. Knowledge of and working experience conducting athletic field maintenance, sports field regulations, organic turf care, landscaping and irrigation and drainage systems is required. Must have experience with athletic field maintenance including cutting infields, squaring and lining fields, base replacement, mound building, managing and repairing lips, field leveling and mowing techniques, trash removal and other related physically demanding tasks. Experience maintaining, repairing and operating landscape and turf care equipment such as skid-steers, tool cats, backhoes, sidewalk plows, front end loaders, tractors, large commercial mowers and other equipment is required.
