Position / Title:                  Equipment Manager

Facility Description:  Private - 18 Holes

Experience Desired: Two years or more as a Head Equipment Manager or Assistant Equipment Manager at a golf facility or distributor.

Responsibilities Description:   
Equipment Maintenance: Lead the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and specialized machinery. Proper sharpening and adjustments to all mowing equipment to ensure the best cut possible.

Preventive Care: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime, extend equipment lifespan, and optimize operational efficiency.

Repairs and Diagnostics: Expertly diagnose mechanical issues, conduct repairs, and perform adjustments with precision and efficiency.

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, replacements, and spare parts inventory. Coordinate orders and deliveries to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Budget Management: Collaborate with management to establish and manage the equipment maintenance budget, demonstrating cost-conscious decision-making. Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistants on current equipment condition to establish repair and replacement needs for budgeting purposes.

Collaboration: Work closely with the groundskeeping team to schedule equipment usage effectively and support their equipment-related requirements.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all equipment adheres to safety standards and regulations. Conduct regular safety training sessions for staff on proper equipment usage and safety protocols.

Vendor Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with equipment suppliers, service providers, and vendors to facilitate timely repairs, parts procurement, and upgrades.

Technology Integration: Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in golf course equipment management, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.

Documentation: Maintain meticulous equipment records, including maintenance logs, service histories, and warranties.


Special Skills:

• Proven experience in golf course equipment management or a related field.
• Strong mechanical acumen and proficiency in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
• Knowledge of turf management equipment, and specialized golf course machinery.
• Familiarity with equipment maintenance software and tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for team interaction and vendor relations.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Flexibility to accommodate early mornings, weekends, and seasonal demands.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $105-000-$110,000
