Position / Title: TPC Boston is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. This position is responsible for assisting the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent with the goal of preparing the individual to progress to Golf Course Superintendent role.

Facility Description: TPC Boston is a private par-72, 7,241-yard golf course located in Norton, MA, that is home to the Dell Technologies Championship, one of four PGA TOUR Playoff Events for the FedExCup. The golf course was originally designed by the legendary player/designer Arnold Palmer. TPC Boston’s award-winning layout has been undergoing remodeling and competitive improvement since 2006 through the present with the assistance of Hanse Golf Course Design. The golf course is crafted to fit seamlessly into the natural New England landscape and excels in the areas of resource conservation, water management, integrated pest management, wildlife/habitat management, and education/outreach.

Experience Desired: 

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • 2 or 4 year turf degree 
  • 3-5 years experience 
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred 
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred
  • Computer and organizational skills 
  • Ability to train/supervise a crew of up to 20 on a daily basis 
  • Strong attention to detail, passion for excellence and a great attitude 
  • A desire to advance within the turfgrass industry 
  • Familiarity with creeping bentgrass in the Northeast a plus
  • Ability to acquire MA pesticide

Duties Description: 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with creating and delivering daily golf course maintenance
  • Assist and direct a staff of 25
  • Assist in developing and executing pesticide/fertilizer application
  • Assist in all aspects of water management
  • Assist Golf Course Superintendent and Assistants with purchasing,   
      records, planning, and problem solving 
  • Assisting with the completion of large and small golf course and
      landscape improvement projects   

Special Skills:

  • Enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills  
  • Good computer skills
  • Spanish speaking a plus
