Educational Requirements:  Minimum of a Turfgrass Certificate. Strong candidates will have a four-year degree in Turfgrass Management or related field, or a two-year Associates in Turfgrass Management.

Experience Requirements:
-3 years of golf course maintenance including internship years
-1 to 2 years in a leadership and/or managerial role

Special Requirements:
-Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator License or the ability to obtain one by the beginning of employment.
-Knowledge of chemical and fertilizer use and application.
-Ability to lift 50 lbs.
-Experience with golf course equipment operation.
-Irrigation repair and troubleshooting experience preferred.
-Strong work ethic with great attention to detail.
-Ability to lead and manage small crews in all types of environments and weather conditions with an adaptive problem- solving mindset.
-Will be expected to work longer hours and weekends throughout the growing season, with a more flexible schedule through the winter months.
-Strong knowledge and love for the game of golf.
-Valid Driver’s License

Comments:  We are looking for an individual who has a passion for all facets of the game of golf and is serious about advancing their career towards becoming a Golf Course Superintendent. The right candidate will have a strong work ethic with great attention to detail paired with excellent leadership skills. The candidate will work closely with the Director of Golf Course Operations and the Golf Course Superintendent in managing Blue Hill Country Club’s 27-hole layout. 

Founded in 1925 and designed by Donald Ross’ protégé Eugene “Skip” Wogan, Blue Hill Country Club is a 27-hole layout which features an 18 hole Championship course along with a 9 hole “Challenger” course. Blue Hill has played host to the 1956 PGA Championship as well as the LPGA Tour’s Ping Welch’s Championship from 1991 – 1997. 

Today, Blue Hill Country Club is owned by Concert Golf Partners, and has become one of Concert’s flagship properties. The candidate will have a great opportunity to begin and advance their career within Concert Golf Partners growing portfolio of high end clubs.

Salary Range:  $45,000-$55,000
