Facility Location:   30 Stonebridge Rd, Ipswich, MA

Position / Title:       Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Facility Description: Turner Hill is an 18-hole member-owned club which opened in 2004 and designed by Hurzdan/Fry. In addition to golf, the club has 2 tennis courts, swimming pool, 2 paddle courts, indoor fitness, and a historic 45,000 square foot mansion which hosts a multitude of events throughout the year.

Experience Desired: Prior golf course experience in a management role

Duties Description: include, but are not limited to:

• Training, coaching, and leading the Staff

• Managing the Staff daily and communicating all Staff assignments

• Fertilizer and chemical applications

• Daily turf scouting for moisture, disease, insects, overall health, etc…

• Many hours hand watering and irrigation troubleshooting

• Tree and ornamental management

• Equipment maintenance

• Understanding all aspects of golf course management

Special Skills: The candidate must have a positive attitude and possess the ability to work in a TEAM environment. The individual will be required to work long days during the summer and will work 6 days/week. The candidate must obtain their MA pesticide license within 60 days of employment.

Compensation / Benefits:  $50K-$60K annual salary, health, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, long-term disability, Aflac, paid vacation and holidays

Education Level Required: Turfgass management degree or certificate preferred, but not required
